Born and brought up as a Roman Catholic, Jay Gruden experienced his early days attending ‘George D. Chamberlain High School’ in Tampa, Florida. The Croatian descent has played football as a quarterback for the ‘Chamberlain Chiefs secondary school.’
From 1985 to1988, Gruden was a letterman for the ‘Louisville Cardinals’ football team. While he attended the ‘University of Louisville‘ he drove the team as a senior helping them win their first season in 10 years.
